Dead Centre is a theatre company based in Dublin. We are artistic directors Bush Moukarzel and Ben Kidd and producer Tilly Taylor. Our Associate Artist for 2026 is Doris De Vries and our General Manager is Gill McCaw. We can all be contacted at info@deadcentre.org.
We have made work in Dublin, Vienna, Berlin, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Gothenburg and London. Our shows have toured throughout the world including to the USA, Hong Kong, China, Australia, France, Estonia, Holland, Romania and Italy.
We have a close team of collaborators who work with us on an ongoing basis - writers, technicians, inventors, designers and performers. We are able to make work because of the support of the Arts Council Ireland, Culture Ireland and Arts Council England. Other organisations who have supported us along the way include Dublin Fringe Festival, Dublin Theatre Festival, Project Arts Centre, Royal Court Theatre, Complicité, Science Foundation Ireland, Mermaid Arts Centre, the Gate Theatre, Abbey Theatre, the James Joyce Centre, the National Theatre Studio, Battersea Arts Centre, Irish Arts Center, Mayfest, Warwick Arts Centre, Pavilion Theatre, Science Gallery Dublin, The Mac Belfast and Dublin City Council.
The scripts for Hamnet, LIPPY and Chekhov's First Play are published and available to purchase from Oberon books. The script for Deaf Republic is published and available to buy from Concord Theatricals. Our Vimeo account is here. (Full videos for all shows are available on request).
